On Saturday, I wanted to go on about an 8 to 10 mile run, but the humidity was overwhelming. I only ended up doing 6.69 miles (according to my Garmin). I also met a ultra-marathoner who manages a restaurant about a mile off the base. He gave me some tips to help prevent the cramping I get during the end of a marathon. He noted that Gatorade is overrated (which I knew), but told me to try chewing on some regular salt packets to help maintain my sodium levels. The salt packets I'm referring to are gotten at McDonalds, Sonic, fast food restaurants in general or pack your own.
Yesterday a storm came through and cooled things down a little bit, so I made sure to take advantage of the cooler weather. I ran 5 miles today around the hotel I'm staying at. It wasn't too bad though the sun came out towards the end of the run and started to warm things up quick. Hopefully, I'll get to run with my classmate a few more times.
The picture was taken outside the hotel.

Running all over

I miss you. Can you run home??
I'll start running home tonight. I should be home by Saturday. I'll need some good food after that long run.
